Opexi exists because of a gap we kept living from the inside: the distance between what finance needs and what technology actually delivers has always been filled by people doing manual work. Every company we've been inside had the same underlying condition. Systems misaligned. Processes running on institutional memory. A finance team too busy surviving the month to fix the machine.

So we built the firm we kept wishing existed. Finance Engineers: an embedded team that leads the numbers, goes inside the systems, and automates what should never have been manual. We don't hand over roadmaps. We build, we document, and we stay. We're closing that gap.

Fran built his career where finance meets operations, across global corporations and high-growth ventures. M&A at a Big 4 firm, then four years running finance for over USD 200M in projects across the Americas, then global operating roles in Berlin: scaling a marketplace's new verticals from $500M to $1.2Bn in GMV across 20+ markets and building automation engines that cut acquisition costs by 60% across 50+. Since then he has worked as a strategic partner to founders and boards, including executing an oversubscribed seed round end to end. MBA, IESE Business School.

Daniel Lopatin

Co-founder & CFO

Daniel has been a CFO the way Opexi means it: as a builder. He co-founded a tech consultancy and ran its finance function for 17 years, growing it to 125+ people across the US and Latin America and serving clients from global enterprise brands to entrepreneurial ventures. Before that he launched, grew, and exited companies across Mexico and China, taking one from zero to $3M in revenue in three years. M.A., Yale University.
